How I would scatter alliance against Buhari if I were in APC – Falae

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, has revealed how he would deal with alliance against President Muhammadu Buhari if he were to be in the president’s camp as political parties prepare for 2019 general elections.

Falae stated this in Abuja on Thursday August 2, at the inauguration of a steering committee for the alliance of over 30 political parties that intend to unseat the president in 2019 election.

He, however, urged the committee of all members of the alliance to be watchful and ensure their objective is actualized.

His words: “This is not for speech making to solemnly inaugurate this steering committee that you steer Nigeria, God willing with a new trajectory of hope and development. I’m glad to be here. This secretariat is very crucial to what we want to do. |If I were on the other side, the divisive strategy for dividing this alliance, “I will employ all kinds of gimmickeries, to sow seeds ofdiscord, to propagate false news and incite members against one another so that you can scatter , and then, the noble objective is scuttled.

“In other words, we should be conscious that not everybody in Nigeria wants us to succeed. The APC government must be working over time to make us fail. We cannot afford to fail.

“This is why this secretariat at the signing ceremony, I made a passionate plea that this secretariat must be established immediately sp that we can remain on the same page at all times.

“Despite the establishment of this secretariat and of the steering committee, efforts will continue to be made to be made by the other side to scatter us. |Please, for those who are representing us here, whatever you hear, no matter how authentic it may sound, remember what Donald Trump said, it may be fake news.

“So, check immediately with your colleagues, realizing that the stakes are very high.

“On behalf of myself and my party, I pledge our total support to genuinely and sincerely wrest power from the hands of a sitting African president. The word African is significant.”
