Alleged N400m Fraud: Olisa Metuh’s sister defends him in court
Theodora Ifeoma, the elder sister of Olisa Metuh, showed up in court on Wednesday to testify as the 13th defence witness in the ongoing trial of the former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party.
The court had on may 25th closed metuh’s defence after metuh and his counsel Emeka Etiaba failed to show up in court without any reason.
However, Justice Abang in a ruling delivered on Tuesday, June 3, 2018, reopened the defence giving Metuh the chance to call more witnesses.
Another witness Mr Hanson Ezu who was a personal assistance to Mr Metuh also testified in court. According to him, in November 2014, he overheard the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan telling Metuh via telephone that N400m had been paid into his (Metuh) account. He also said metuh confirmed the payment.
Metuh is standing trial for allegedly collecting N400million from the former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
