More French Investment to come into Nigeria, says Ambassador
The French ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Denys Guaer has pledged the commitment of French government towards driving more investment into Nigeria.
He made this known during his visit to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja on 5th August, 2016.
He states that “we consider Nigeria as a global partner… you have to play global role, you have to assume global responsibilities worldwide.”
He further stated that Nigeria is France number one trade partner in Africa. Thus, the country serves as haven for French investments which has span decades of bilateral trade benefits between the two countries.
On his part, the permanent secretary of the ministry thanked the Ambassador for the contribution of the France to the Nigeria’s economy and urge the government of France to support Nigeria’s call for the restructure of United Nations Security Council to ensure Africa’s permanent presence in the global top decisions-making body.
This he say is to ensure fairness to African nations and more transparency on the decision of the body.
