Finally, PDP bows to pressure, reduces cost of forms

Spokesperson for the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Kola Olagbodiyan, has said the party had been generous to women and youth in selling its expression of interest and nomination forms for 2019 elections.

He stated this while addressing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday September 2018.

He said all women contestants are to be given their forms free, while according to him, the party has slashed its nomination and expression of interest forms for both state and national assembly elections.

He said: “The Peoples’ Democratic Party is very considerate in determining the cost of our forms. We took cognizance of the fact that the majority of the youth normally contest election into the state Houses of Assembly and election into the House of Representatives arm of our National Assembly.

“Because of this, we put the cost of our form for state Houses of Assembly at N500,000 and expression of interest at N100. Originally, our House of Rep form was supposed to sell for N2500. But, we took into consideration the position of the Not-Too-Young-To-Run…”
