CUPP seeks sack of DSS operatives who defiled court

The Coalition of the United Political Parties (CUPP) has described the re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore in court by officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) as a desecration of the sanctity of the judiciary. CUPP seeks sack of DSS.

CUPP in a statement by the spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere, accused officials of the secret police of launching the attack while the court was in session.

“The serenity as well as sanctity of the court was utterly desecrated by the men of the DSS who, believing they are above the law, launched their attack even while the court was in session.

“The arrest of Sowore right inside the court room while trial was on is treason against constitutional governance,” CUPP added.

It alleged that such would not have happened without the approval of the Presidency, stating that the attack has formally announced the total collapse of democracy and constitutionality and a descent into totalitarianism, anarchy and despotism. CUPP seeks sack of DSS.
