Court orders arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu

An arrest warrant has been issued against the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu for consistently failing to appear in court for trial without any reasonable explanation.

Kanu was arrested in 2015 on an 11-count charge bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony.
Justice Binta Nyako who made the order at the resumed sitting on Thursday, said Kanu had failed to appear in court since April 25, 2017, when he was released on a 100 million naira bail bond.

The case has been adjourned to June 18 for continuation
