Boko Haram: Nat’l Security Adviser’s office launches ‘Rapid Response exercise’ to curb terrorism
The Office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) started a training exercise on counter-terrorism crisis response at the International Conference Center in Abuja.
The exercise was tagged ‘Daukin Gagawa’ a Hausa phrase for ‘Rapid Response’.
In his remarks, the Deputy Director Presidential Communication Command and Control Center of Office of the National Security Adviser, Shehu Sa’idu Shehu stated that, the aim of the exercise was to awaken all security agencies and brace them for better challenges in the war against insurgents terrorising the North-Eastern part of Nigeria.
He further asserted that by the end of the exercise, a review will be done on existing security papers and adjustments will be made where necessary.
