Why I’m contesting Bauchi governorship election – Bala Muhammed

Former Minister of Nigeria’s capital (the Federal Capital Territory) Abuja, Bala Muhammed, has said the quest for providing good leadership is the reason is vying for Bauchi state governorship election in 2019.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja at the headquarters of his party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), the former senator said having been a federal lawmaker and a minister, he is well-positioned and competent enough to lead his state.

“PDP has resources, human and material resources. And, some of us, the government and people of Nigeria invested so much on us in terms of human capital development. We have impacted positively on other climes like FCT and the federal government. It is now time for us to go back home to our micro constituency and impact positively on them,” he said.

“My agenda is to make sure I give leadership to the people of Bauchi state to be able to raise the GDP of Bauchi to a level that is at par with other states like Lagos and Kano…”
